About This Course
This Junior Cycle Higher Level Irish course is designed to develop students’ language proficiency across the three strands: Communicative Competence, Language and Cultural Awareness, and Literary and Creative Competence. Students will engage with a variety of texts - including prose, poetry, drama, articles, and multimedia content - enhancing their ability to read, write, speak, and listen in Irish with confidence. The course places a strong emphasis on oral fluency, critical thinking, and creative expression, while also deepening understanding of Irish culture, heritage, and identity. Key components include comprehension (léamhthuiscint), composition (scrÃbhneoireacht), oral communication (cumas cainte), and the study of literary texts, such as prescribed poems and short stories. Our Teacher will support our students on their journey to becoming confident, reflective, and culturally aware users of the Irish language.
Fees & Cancellation Policy
Fees: - €26.45/week for a first subject. - €20.55/week for additional subjects (including siblings). Joining: - New students can join weekly grinds at any stage throughout the year, however, we recommend joining as close to the start date as possible for greatest results. - If a course is displaying as full - a waiting list applies. You will need to contact our office to be placed on a waiting list for the class. - Once you have booked your course/s through this site, we will contact you by phone to request payment. Alternatively, you can book by calling our office. Payment Options: - In full before commencement. - Monthly by standing order. - You will only be charged for any remaining classes in a course.
