About This Course

Weekly Grinds Schedule (new students welcome at any time): - Term 1: Monday the 31st of August – Sunday the 25th of October (8 weeks). - Term 2: Monday the 2nd of November – Tuesday the 22nd of December (8 weeks). - Term 3: Wednesday the 6th of January – Sunday the 14th of February (5 weeks). - Term 4: Monday the 22nd of February – Sunday the 21st of March (4 weeks). - Term 5: Monday the 5th of April – Sunday the 6th of June (9 weeks). * In the event that the Academy must reschedule a class, it will run on the same day and at the same time during the next available school break. These can include October mid-term, Christmas, February mid-term, and Easter breaks. Topics Covered & General Information: This course is designed to prepare students for every aspect of the Leaving Certificate exam with a strong focus on practical language use, fluency, and exam technique. The course develops the four main skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Students engage with a wide variety of texts and recordings, building comprehension skills and expanding vocabulary on key topics such as the environment, technology, education, and current affairs. There is a strong emphasis on written expression, including opinion pieces, diary entries, and formal/informal letters, with detailed feedback to improve grammar, structure, and style. The oral exam, worth 25% of the final grade, is a central focus, with regular one-to-one practice to develop fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in conversation. Grammar is reinforced in context, with targeted revision of tenses, subjunctive use, and common errors. This course provides personalised support and structured preparation to help students achieve their full potential in Higher Level Spanish. Pricing: Weekly grinds cost €28/week for a first subject and €21/week for additional subjects. This is billed monthly by standing order. These prices include full StudySphere membership for the year.
