About This Course

Weekly Grinds Schedule (new students welcome at any time): - Term 1: Monday the 31st of August – Sunday the 25th of October (8 weeks). - Term 2: Monday the 2nd of November – Tuesday the 22nd of December (8 weeks). - Term 3: Wednesday the 6th of January – Sunday the 14th of February (5 weeks). N.B. Grinds scheduled for St. Brigid’s Day (Monday 1st of February) will take place as normal. - Term 4: Monday the 22nd of February – Sunday the 21st of March (4 weeks). - Term 5: Monday the 5th of April – Sunday the 6th of June (9 weeks). N.B. Grinds scheduled for May Day (Monday 3rd of May) will take place as normal. * In the event that the Academy must reschedule a class, it will run on the same day and at the same time during the next available school break. These can include October mid-term, Christmas, February mid-term, and Easter breaks. Topics Covered: - Number Systems. - Sets. - Algebra. - Arithmetic (Financial Maths). - Distance, Speed & Time. - Length, Area & Volume. - Trigonometry. - Geometry. - Coordinate Geometry. - Probability. - Statistics. - Sequences & Patterns. - Functions. General Information: This 34 week course is designed to consolidate students’ understanding of key Junior Cycle topics while preparing them thoroughly for the final exam. The course covers all strands of the curriculum: Number, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Functions, Statistics, and Probability. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, logical reasoning, and exam-focused techniques, with regular practice of past paper questions and sample problems. Students receive clear explanations of challenging topics such as quadratic equations, simultaneous equations, coordinate geometry, and trigonometric ratios. With a focus on building confidence, accuracy, and fluency, this course provides personalised support to ensure each student is fully equipped to succeed at Higher Level Maths. Pricing: Weekly grinds cost €28/week for a first subject and €21/week for additional subjects. This is billed monthly by standing order. These prices include full StudySphere membership for the year.
